Upon final Floor Official action, Market Surveillance, in conjunction with the AUTOM Help Desk, where appropriate, would promptly notify both parties to the transaction. The purpose of this procedure is to provide Exchange staff and Floor Officials with a consistent, established course of action to be taken when a transaction has resulted from an obvious error, and to ensure prompt notification of an adjustment or nullification of such a transaction.
